We also found time to discuss some recent indie releases doing good box office in their own right. There’s the new A24 film Eighth Grade, directed by standup comedian Bo Burnham, and Sorry to Bother You, directed by musician-turned-filmmaker Boots Riley.

Two directorial debuts from two unlikely media personalities. Next week, you can probably expect BILL ACTION’s feature directorial debut.
