This week on the Now Conspiring podcast, Maria and I try our hardest to determine the “best” Lord of the Rings/Hobbit movie. It might get heated.
We also review and discuss The Hobbit: Battle of the Five Armies and the 2014 remake of Annie.
Stick around for the end of the show when we discuss the new movies coming out Christmas Day and which ones we recommend, PLUS we talk about the controversy surrounding the pulling of The Interview from theaters.
Enjoy the podcast! Don’t forget to subscribe to Now Conspiring on iTunes if you dig the show.

Great show guys! Loving the theme music and Jon’s ridiculous rants. Keep em coming!
I think Return of the King is the strongest of the movies, and is the only one that has a real climax and resolution. The first two are just the set up after all. I don’t really like the Hobbit movies.
Definitely agree with The Two Towers
great blog and nice post.
Hi everyone! If you’re feeling the pressure of nursing school and have been thinking about getting help with your papers, I found something that might be useful. There’s a nursing discount available for students who need writing support. It can really help bring down the cost if you’re on a budget, and the service focuses specifically on nursing assignments, which is great because they know what nursing papers require.
I used the discount when I was overloaded with assignments, and it made getting help way more affordable. The writers understand nursing topics and provide solid work without costing a fortune. If you’re trying to balance your workload and save some money, this discount can really help out
Finding the best deals on theater tickets can be frustrating, especially when dealing with unreliable platforms. That’s why I started using https://todaytix.pissedconsumer.com/review.html and had a much smoother experience. The app consistently offers great discounts on Broadway and Off-Broadway shows, making booking tickets super easy and hassle-free. They even have a fantastic last-minute rush purchase feature if you’re looking for discounted tickets on the day of the show. For anyone tired of searching through unreliable services, TodayTix is definitely worth a try!
As someone who’s struggled with emotional eating, I’ve found that staying focused on personal goals really helps. One trick that works for me is redirecting energy into something productive, like investing in crypto. It gives me control and purpose. I recently used https://paybis.com/swap-eth-to-trx/ to swap ETH to TRX—honestly, it’s the best place to buy and exchange crypto with low fees. Their platform is smooth and reliable, and it keeps me engaged mentally. Exploring the best of bitcoin and other crypto options through a trusted crypto exchange like Paybis has helped shift my focus away from emotional habits.
I recently checked out NeoSpin Casino, and I have to say, the vibe is quite unique. The website design really stands out with that neon green on black — it gives off a cool, thrilling feel ran into this earlier. Navigating the site is straightforward, thanks to the left sticky menu bar and clear tabs like Top, New, Crypto, and Drops & Wins. It’s powered by SoftSwiss, so the instant play works smoothly on Chrome and other browsers, and Aussies even have the option to install a desktop PWA app for quick access. The game selection is massive — over 8,000 titles from more than 50 providers, with heaps of pokies, jackpots, and demo modes to test before playing for real. Withdrawals take up to 48 hours and have some limits and fees, which is something to keep in mind. Overall, it feels like a fresh and professional platform, though I’d like to see more live and board games in the future.
I rewatched The Hobbit trilogy recently, and it hit me how much I still prefer the tone of The Lord of the Rings. There’s just something more grounded about it, even with all the fantasy elements. My friend and I actually debated this over coffee — she’s more into the lighter feel of An Unexpected Journey. It’s funny how personal taste shapes how we see the same story, kind of like checking out people’s opinions on Trustpilot Online Pokies and realizing everyone’s experience is completely different.
