‘LEGO Batman Movie’ and ‘John Wick: Chapter 2’ Review – Cinemaholics

Welcome to the first episode of my new podcast, Cinemaholics! The official movie review talk show on We Got This Covered. Kicking things off, co-host Will Ashton and myself talked about The LEGO Batman MovieJohn Wick: Chapter 2, and a few other quick hits.

This podcast will be available on YouTube, iTunes, and other channels every Monday, and we want to hear your feedback week to week. If you fancy yourself a Cinemaholic, drop us an email: cinemaholicspodcast [at] gmail.com.

The Show Notes are below, but here’s a quick rundown of what we reviewed. Will took some time to explain his disdain for Fifty Shades Darker, which also premiered this week. I did a quick review of Doubt, the new CBS show starring Katherine Heigl that premieres next week. Will gave us a sneak peek review into A Cure For Wellness, which comes out next week. And I spoke briefly on the series premiere of Legion, the new X-Men show on FX.

  1. What’s the difference between Now Conspiring and Cinemaholics? If you are willing to tell, that will be great.

    • Cinemaholics is my new podcast for We Got This Covered. Now Conspiring is still going on, but with Maria Garcia as host.

  2. As retired mob killer John Wick, Keanu Reeves becomes a one-man army in his relentless quest to avenge the theft of his 1969 Ford Mustang & the killing of his Beagle puppy by the unpleasant son of a Russian mob boss. The perforated corpses that Keanu leaves in his wake are beyond counting, & the deaths are violent, well deserved, & cathartic for movie-going dog lovers who will know that, regardless of his homicidal rampage, killer Keanu’s kindness to canines affirms his inherent decency. The acting is solid, with mobster colleague Willem Dafoe & mob boss Michael Nyqvist outstanding in their roles.
