  1. Favorite movies and/or moments? Here is the top 4
    1. Darth Vader murdering all the rebels in Rogue One
    2. The Airport Scene from Captain America Civil War (Spider Man saying that the Empire Strikes Back is an old Movie)
3 and 4. Finding Dory and Zootopia

Other movie thoughts in a nutshell
I am most surprised by Secret Life of Pets. I thought that movie would suck, but it had some good laughs.
I thought BFG was boring and I am not impressed by Pete’s Dragon
Haven’t seen Kubo, Fantastic Beasts, or Moana as of writing this, so I could watch them soon…
My least favorite movie moment is MARTHA!!! from Batman v Superman and the overall stupidity of the entire movie
Arrow’s Suicide Squad was much better than Suicide Squad the Movie (Produced by Trump’s choice for Treasury Secretary)
The most newsworthy thing about movies this year is the Oscars so White Controversy (And the Lack of Diversity in Hollywood). Neat stuff.

  2. SPOILER ALERT: minor Rogue One spoiler.
Favorite 2016 movie? It’s a tie between Fantastic Beasts and Zootopia. Civil War was great, but pretty complicated; Finding Dory was fine, but not nearly as good as the first movie; BFG and Pete’s Dragon were okay, but boring for someone who’s interested in the story rather then the effects. I haven’t seen the other 2016 releases yet. As for my favorite moment— gotta be the Princess Lea cameo at the end of Rogue One. Or possibly the Hedwig’s Theme at the beginning of Fantastic Beasts; that really brought back memories.

  3. It’s great to hear you guys actually supporting each other’s opinion and not just arguing the whole time. Arrival was my #1 as well, with Swiss Army Man and Deadpool closely following. My favorite movie moment was also in Arrival: MINOR SPOILERS “Abbott is death process.” END OF MINOR SPOILERS

  4. Favorite movie is Sully; favorite movie moments are the hallway scene from Rogue One and the opening two scenes of Kubo and the Two Strings.

  5. Ten minutes in I’m gonna call that Jon mentions Sing Street at some point!!!

  6. My favorite movies of 2016:

    Zootopia
    La La Land
    Hacksaw Ridge
    Life, Animated
    Manchester by the Sea

    My least favorites:

Mike and Dave Need Wedding Dates
    Hardcore Henry
    Alice Through the Looking Glass
    The Angry Birds Movie
    The Light Between Oceans

Most Overrated Movie of the Year:

Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them

  7. My top 5 favorite movies are
    1. La La Land
    2. Arrival
    3. Sing Street
    4. 10 Cloverfield Lane
    5. Moana
Moonlight is a close sixth. Though I have seen a lot this year, I’ve missed a lot too. I still need to see Manchester by the Sea and Hell or High Water among many others
