Marvel should not get the rights to X-Men for two reasons: the mcu is already really big and the x-men universe is also pretty big which would would get out of hand. Second, it’s doing fine on their own. I love the x-men movies and I would hate it if it got ruined because of studios wanting a bunch of money.
I do want to say Kayla I had no idea that Amy Schumer stole jokes. I have no respect for comedians who steal jokes. So that means Sam you moved up on my list as my second favorite comedian.

Oh My God Joss Whedon please direct a Ms. Marvel/Kamala Khan movie! Anyways I don’t think that Fox should give the rights back to Marvel, Marvel doesn’t have the time right now to make them. With the rights divided out, we get to see more characters, and more healthy-competition will force studios to have higher standards. I haven’t seen X-Men Apocalypse, but if it’s on par with X-Men: First Class, I’m more than happy to see where this universe goes. If there are any changes, I think that they should maybe bring back Matthew Vaughn.
As for the “Give X a boyfriend or girlfriend”, if the romance feels natural in the sequel they should totally go for it, hetero or homosexual. I don’t want an entire plot-line to be pandering to fan service, but if it can work in the context of the story and done properly, who are we to deny it? Anyways, keep conspiring all you lovely people!
Oh, and PS, I love people of every ethnicity, and I would never judge any of you based on anything so shallow.
Hello everyone! Thought I would comment for the first time because I’ve been listening to the podcast since the Aloha episode, but I’ve never commented.
But I think that the X-Men movies should stay with Fox because Marvel already has enough on their hands and Fox seems to be doing just fine on their own. I think the crossovers should just stay in the comics for now, because the two universes that have been created wouldn’t fit well with each other.

I love the title you have this podcast. It is extremely clever and works extremely well. Also no, X Men shouldn’t belong to Marvel. Marvel has more than enough history in their universe and adding X Men would complicate everything.
I would love to see the X-Men uniting with the Avengers, but I would love it if we didn’t know about it. Like somehow Marvel and Fox managed to go completely underground with this arrangement and we just have no clue. Like we’re watching Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 and Jean Grey shows up battling the Phoenix Force inside of her. Or Black Panther pops up in one of the X-Men movies and proves to be a warrior that Storm can idolize just as much as she did Mystique (and you know, eventually getting married because movies apparently need love stories to be shoehorned in if they want to be considered good). Or Cap and Iron Man are fighting in some upcoming movie and out of nowhere Deadpool shows up trying to defuse the situation saying something like “You know Thanos will be here in just a few movies, quit fighting already!” Or, similarly, Cap shows up in Deadpool 2 to tell him to watch his mouth and the two become the unlikely bros we know from the comics. Or we get to Avengers Infinity Wars: Part I and the X-Men just arrive on the scene and start fighting alongside the Avengers and there’s a moment where Scarlet Witch and Quicksilver come face to face and have an awkward “we’re related but not actually” reunion. I would just love to see this happen because both franchises are handled so well and if they were to combine, they should not reboot the X-Universe.
However, this is probably an awful idea. It is merely fan service and would probably prove to be handled very poorly resulting in underdeveloped characters, jumbled plot lines, weak villains, and just one mess of a movie. One day, Marvel and Fox might unite. But that won’t be for quite some time considering that Fox is in the midst of recasting and rebooting their entire universe while Marvel is still cruising along with their current roster
I think that Fox should keep the rights to X-Men. There are already enough characters in both universes, and it would get too confusing, especially with the whole Scarlet Witch and X-Men Quicksilver. The characters have already been established separately in good movies, and to reset all of X-Men would suck for the fans of the current Fox X-Men. I just don’t think it would work out. Even in the comics, I never really liked it unless it was small things, like a single character or idea.
