2. I have yet to see Zootopia, hopefully I’ll get time to see it this week. To answer the question of the week: I agree with Jon. Wreck-It Ralph was my favorite. From the beautiful animation to the message to the fun game of I Spy when I get bored. That may not be THE Question of the Week. I don’t know. So many topics in these episode is easier when the question is on the title.

   • A question: How do people get their profile pictures to show up? It’s kind of bothering that I can’t find a way to do that.

3. One of the Pixar Detective Spinoffs has been released and the first chapters are published. Now we can start finding out what Cara and Logan were doing when they were with The Tank Gang. Maybe that will inspire people to create more Pixar Detective inspired things.

4. The best (recent) Disney movie is Meet The Robinsons. I adore the concept and the message it sent, and the creative characters were well written. Plus, the motto used throughout the film (keep moving forward) was Walt Disney’s own motto, and that little easter egg always struck a cord with me.
   Going to see Zootopia this week. Can’t wait! 🙂

5. I do not have a favorite Disney movie, but I DO know that Frozen is the highest grossing movie of all time.

   • No, it’s not. It’s the highest grossing animated film of all time- worldwide and unadjusted for inflation. Domestically, The Lion King is the highest grossing animated film. Adjusted for inflation, Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs is.

6. I think my favorite recent Disney Movie is Wreck-it-Ralph. I honestly really liked a lot of these recent movies, but my love for video games and the way this movie was executed has to put it at the top of my list.

7. I did not see Zootopia sadly due to people making other plans and telling me at the last second. I don’t believe you guys. What the hell? The Lion King is OBVIOUSLY the BEST Disney movie nay the best MOVIE ever made why can’t you guys see that?

   • Lion Kong was released in 1994, and we are talking about our favorite Disney movies released from 2007 onward. (Starting with Meet the Robinsons).

     • Oh. I feel embarressed now. With these rules in mind now i choose Meet the Robinsons for all the reasons Mango said and also because of all the memories of watching it with my parents when i was 7/8. Its just a really good movie packed with emotional memories.

8. Before answering this week’s question, I would like to clarify about the title I gave for the Ultimate Pixar Movie from last week. I had said The Hooverville Experiments hoping you’d know what the term Hooverville meant, but I guess not. A Hooverville is a shantytown built by unemployed and destitute people during the Great Depression. The name was coined as a direct slight to President Hoover who was (and still is) believed to be a direct cause of the Depression.

   And I have to agree with Jon on the best Disney movie in recent years. Wreck-It Ralph was a wonderful movie with very intriguing characters. And like Jon said, Ralph’s character is a bad guy, but he doesn’t want to be a bad guy anymore. And the whole movie follows his journey in finding himself, really. But what I find even more interesting is the idea of the Code. The Code is what makes up every game and constitutes every character. And while the Code clearly makes certain characters good and others bad, those people aren’t necessarily good or bad. For the most part, they’re actually good people who stand in the role of a bad character. Ralph’s Code makes him big, clunky, and destructive. Calhoun’s Code makes her a damaged character who puts everything she has into the fight against Cybugs. Vanellope’s damaged Code allows her to glitch and essentially teleport around in her game. And then you’ve got Turbo, who’s Code dictates that he’s an amazing racer and strives to always be in first place. Each of the characters in Game Central Station have Codes that merely dictate their attributes, not their disposition. Each character may be intended to act one way, but act an entirely different way (Ralph and Turbo). It’s almost like the Nature vs. Nurture debate, only in this case it’s Code vs. Reality.

   Also, Kayla, I would love to watch any videos you make.

11. I totally agree, Leonard Dicaprio shouldn’t have got an Oscar for the revenant, but he should some other films, like catch me if you can or blood diamond. That was the other point I was trying to make, that people don’t receive them when they should, but then they get consolation Oscars when they shouldn’t, and that is why the oscars don’t matter. I meant to put that but I don’t like putting comments that to long 🙂
    I’m finding it difficult to choose the best recent Disney movie, I thing the best one is The Princess and the Frog, the music and characters are amazing, it has been one of my favourite Disney movies since it came out. I love how Tiana isn’t a princess but becomes one. She is so determined even when everything is against her. Not many people seems to like this film though!
    If Kayla made videos I would definitely watch them!!
    I don’t read movie reviews, I like to decide for myself whether I’m going to like a movie, just because a movie reviewer doesn’t like it, doesn’t mean I won’t. It’s one persons opinion and not mine.

15. The best recent disney movie is Wreck it Ralph. It was also my favorite until I saw Zootopia. But I do want to mention about the film critic discussion in the podcast. I personally don’t like film critics because of how stupid they can be. I don’t read a lot of reviews. I only semi-trust 2 critics in specific, Chris Stuckman and Jon Negroni. I say semi because Jon can be biased. Do I blame him, no. At the end of the day, it is HIS opinion. And if people go in a movie with others opinions in mind then the experience is kind of ruined because you judge the movie on what other people said. I hope this made sense.

16. I haven’t seen them all obviously, but excluding Pixar I’d say the best Disney movie recently is Wreck-It-Ralph, if including Pixar then Up. I have a question for you all though. How old were you when you were first allowed to see a movie without you family? Did it take a lot of convincing? Anyways, you’re all awesome, RAK.
