This week, we dedicate the entire show to some spoiler talk for Star Wars: The Force Awakens. If you’ve already seen the movie and don’t care about spoilers, then this is the podcast for you.

We discuss the movie at length, and not everyone is quite enamored with the film. We’re opening up the comments below for full spoiler talk, so feel free to get it all off your chest.

As always, we read your feedback from last week, roast Adonis behind his back, and welcome Mike Overkill back to the show to get his perspective on Maria’s recent dating life.

QUESTION OF THE WEEK: We have two this week. First, who is your favorite new character in Star Wars: The Force Awakens? Second, what is your advice for Mike on getting his girlfriend to watch any of the Star Wars movies with him?

Let us know your thoughts (and your favorite podcast moments) in the comments, which we may read on next week’s show! And be sure to rate the podcast on iTunes and/or Stitcher, where you can also download this episode. Or just Tweet us…@NowConspiring

Our Song of the Week is “One Heart,” by Leftover Cuties. Enjoy!

  1. I apologize failing to comment on last weeks podcast!
Favorite character has to be BB8! Disney is apparently very good at making us fall in love with any voiceless robot. I would love nothing more than to see Star Wars top Avatar and Titanic as those two movies infuriate me to no end. I was hoping Jurassic World would surpass at least one of them but unfortunately that did not happen so I’m wishing Star Wars the best to take the crown. I would like to make the argument that if Avatar and Titanic can get at least a nomination for best picture then Jurassic Park was just as deserving . Avatar and Titanic despite being grossIy cliched, poorly written and poorly acted got nominated essentially because people felt the special effects were groundbreaking and pushed the limit. Well I would like to say by those standards Jurassic Park deserved the same recognition as I feel it was equally (if not more) just as much of a game changer for film and one of the most important when it comes to special effects if we are judging by those standards. There was just nothing that Avatar did that deserved any more accolades then Jurassic Park. What do you guys think? Am I reaching too much? Sorry for the annoyingly long comment and tangent please don’t ban me!
Can’t wait to hear what Kayla says about Arthur Christmas! I’m not even remotely clever enough to think of a witty way for Mike to get his girlfriend to see Star Wars , sorry!

    • You’ve failed me for the last time, Evan

    • Um, a little off topic, are we? You should take your opinions (even though I firmly agree with everything you said) to another article about Avatar or Titanic. This article is about Star Wars.

  2. My favorite character would probably be Kylo Ren, or Rey. As for Mike, offer something if she watches Star Wars with you. Like candy or something that she likes.

  3. Hi Jon! Hi Kayla! Hi Adonis! Hi Maria! And for the first time in forever, hi Mike! I just wanted to say hi.

  4. Sorry I’m late, you conspiracy cabinets, but it took me a while to see Star Wars, and I was also too busy seeing The Hateful Eight in 70mm, which was amazing. However, in more intergalactic news, my favorite character in The Force Awakens was Admiral Ackbar, who I think at the very least should get an academy award nomination for best actor in a background role. But, the thing I noticed the most this week is that there was a painful, Adonis-shaped hole in my heart. Only Adonis himself, or a quality superglue, can complete this flaw. Anyway, this week on Netflix, I would recommend Darren Aronofsky’s Pi, which was extremely engaging and interesting to me. Farewell to you conspiracy cabbages, and remember not to ask if someone can pass the salt and pepper to you, but instead ask if you can pass the salt to someone else.

  5. Kayla why do you hate Bambi? Do you like have some dark past with deer?

  6. My favorite character was Rey. I thought she was a really cool character and I can’t wait to see what they have in store for her in future movies. I also have a question, which movie do you like better? Return of the Jedi or The Force Awakens? I personally liked Return of the Jedi more but when I brought it up with my friends I was in the minority. So I’m curious to see what you guys think.

  7. I was always attracted to Finn, from the moment I saw him. I also seem to be the only one who likes him.
Sergio, I love Return of the Jedi, too! It’s my favourite Star Wars movie ever.

  8. Poor Han getting shanked like that by his own son. 🙁 there is that enough spoiler for you? 😉 I loved the movie despite never seeing one and two and not having seen 4,5,6 for a few years. I got caught up in Harry Potter.
