This week on the Now Conspiring podcast, Adonis and I share our thoughts about Home, the latest DreamWorks movie that feels like it’s ripping off Lilo and Stitch 13 years too late. We also talk about the strange similarities between DreamWorks movies and Will Ferrell movies. As in, we can’t decide how to like them.

Hope you enjoy the show. If you do, consider rating us on iTunes (and subscribing if you haven’t already). We appreciate your awesome words, and all feedback is good feedback when you’re a podcast about conspiring.

Questions of the weekWhich do you like better? DreamWorks movies or Will Ferrell movies?

  1. Dreamwork’s movies for sure.

  2. I like Will Ferrell movies a lot (even the bad ones) but How to Train Your Dragon is just way too good for me to say Dreamworks isn’t better!

    • I agree. HTTYD 1 and 2 are absolutely stunning. I’m hoping the 3rd doesn’t do that typical “threequel” trend of sucking.

      • Do animation movies usually suck on the third try? Besides Shrek? Toy Story 3 was good, Aladdin: King of Thieves made me feel feelings. OK I can’t think of any others.

        • Toy Story 3 was good I suppose. And I have mixed feelings about Aladdin: King of Thieves. But does anyone remember Alvin and the Chipmunks 3? Even the sequel…sorry “squeakel” was pretty bad.

  3. I knew there was something awfully familiar about this. Plus the fact that Oh kind of has the ET look and “Home”

  4. Oh man, Jon. I love both!
But I’ll have to say… Megamind. Because it’s a Dreamworks movie with Will Ferrel in it! Compromise!

  5. I’m the same way with Xaiver i love MegaMind although I have never seen a Will Ferrell movie I don’t think sorry
